The World and Learning
A very short Bible study for parents with reluctant
students
I originally wrote this for a dear loved one, whose son
loves Jesus and God, but just cannot get interested in his school work.
It's deliberately short, and very easy to
understand.
If it helps you, you can thank me.

The Value of The World, and Learning
1. Genesis 1:31
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.
This world is GOOD. There's nothing wrong learning
about it.
2. Deuteronomy 4:39
Acknowledge and take to heart this day that
YHWH is God in heaven
above and on the earth below.
God is not just above, but HERE. So learning about here cannot be bad. In
fact, learning about HERE is learning about GOD.
3. Deuteronomy10:14
To the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the
earth and everything in it.
EVERYTHING means spelling, language, science, geography, history, math,
EVERYTHING. Everything is, or can be, a spiritual worship. So I would teach
all the peoples of the Earth, and their children.
4. Psalms 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; the earth proclaims the
work of his hands.
When we learn of the heavens (astronomy, physics, etc) or the earth
(geography, history, etc) we are studying the PROCLAMATION and GLORY of God!
It's not just "dumb old school!"
5. Psalms 47:7
For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a
psalm of praise.
Clearly, in context with the other verses, when we LEARN about God, we are
not just doing stupid old homework, but we are, in fact, SINGING a PSALM of
PRAISE, since He is the King of everything we see and can learn.
6. Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible
qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being
understood from what has been made, so that men are
without excuse.
That really summarizes the whole thing. When we study what has been made,
all of it, in the heavens and the earth, we are
getting to understand God's eternal power and divine nature. And that is good,
VERY good. And we are without excuse for not learning.
OK?
